BARELY FIVE MONTHS since we first visited Bintan Lagoon Resort (BLR) in Indonesia, we got a word from its management about the launch of its Fiesta restaurant, the latest restaurant to burst onto the culinary scene in the scenic island of Bintan.
Bintan Island, Indonesia — “TO FIND SOME relief or to explore the world further. The view of the seas is almost always, soothing to the soul.” Along with a photo of his passport and boarding pass, that was the quote posted by a soul on his Instagram account while waiting to board at the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in Singapore on Wednesday, March 2. Hours later, the much needed reunion with the sea came to reality. Two Filipino souls set foot on this island.
Bintan Island, Indonesia — A QUICK GETAWAY from the busy Singapore by ferry early this March led us to Bintan Lagoon Resort in this side of Southeast Asia, proving to us once more that the Earth is indeed blessed with a lot of paradise-like islands waiting to be explored. But before I share satisfaction about this particular escapade, a personal confession first.
